The Mannaeans
مانناییەکان
The Mannaeans (also known as Mannai) were an ancient people who inhabited the Zagros Mountains region, particularly in what is now Rojhilat (East Kurdistan), during the 1st millennium BCE (circa 850–616 BCE). Their kingdom was located between the powerful empires of Assyria, Urartu, and later Media, and they often played a strategic role in the politics of the region.— from Summary of Mannaeans, written by Zagrosian ·
