This page is from a work by Alexander Khachatrian. It is titled:

“The Genealogy of Hakkari ruling emirs in Van-Vostan, Andzevatsik (Zawazan), Aghbak and Hakkariya (Julamerik) (During the 14th and 15th centuries A.D.)”

The following genealogical charts trace the ruling dynasty of the Kurdish Emirate of Hekarî (Hakkariya/Julamerik) between the 14th and early 16th centuries. Compiled by historian Alexander Khachatrian from medieval Armenian, Persian, and Islamic historical sources, they illustrate the hereditary succession of the Hekarî emirs who governed Julamerik (Hekarî), Van, Vostan (Gevaş), Aghbak, and Zawazan (Andzevatsik).

Beginning with Malik Izz ad-Din Shir in the 14th century, the genealogy follows several generations of rulers, including Amir Malik Izz ad-Din Shir I, Sultan Ahmad, Malik Asad, Malik Izz ad-Din Shir Azizan II, and Malik Zahid, before continuing into the early 16th century with the descendants of Zahid Beg.

These genealogies demonstrate the continuity of one of Kurdistan’s oldest ruling houses and provide valuable insight into the political organization of the Hekarî Emirate. They also highlight the hereditary nature of Kurdish emirates, whose ruling families maintained authority over strategically important regions around Lake Wan and Hekarî for centuries.
